Global law firm Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP, has appointed UK-qualified dispute resolution partner, Simon Kilgour, to its London team.

This appointment marks the beginning of the firm’s London office expansion to include contentious dispute resolution, including litigation and arbitration.
Smith Gambrell’s strategic growth in London augments the firm’s substantial US reinsurance practice.
Kilgour has 25 years of experience and is a partner in the firm’s Litigation and Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Groups. He represents reinsurers in high-stakes, complex claims and navigates non-standard coverage disputes and market challenges, explains the firm.
He has litigated and arbitrated several high-profile market disputes – many involving large sums of money, and often having an international element involving global reinsurance markets.
Ben Graham-Evans, Managing Partner, Smith Gambrell’s London office, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Simon to the firm. The addition of Simon to our highly rated reinsurance practice notably expands our offerings in London to include dispute resolution.”
Joseph T. McCullough IV, Head of the Insurance and Reinsurance Practice, added, “We are thrilled to expand our reinsurance footprint in the UK with Simon’s arrival.
“We have long sought to establish this practice in our London office, and Simon is the perfect addition to our exceptional team. We eagerly anticipate the impact he will make for our clients and the firm.”
