Canada Life Reinsurance, a provider of reinsurance solutions for life and health, has announced the appointment of Thomas O’Brien from Hannover Re as CEO CLRe Ireland and Head of Reinsurance Operations Europe, a Dublin-based role.
O’Brien is joining the company following a 15-year tenure at Hannover Re, where he most recently served as General Manager – Life and Health. Prior to that he served as Head of Pricing following his role as Senior Pricing Actuary.
The executive also spent close to four years at Achmea, a Dutch insurance cooperative and financial services provider, where he served as Chief Risk Officer & Actuarial Manager and Marketing Actuary before that.
Throughout his career, O’Brien has also held roles at Aviva, Canada Life, Friends First and Milliman Ireland.
