Whitecap Underwriting Europe s.r.o., a reinsurance managing general agent, will commence its space underwriting capacity on January 1st, 2026, through its division Whitecap Aerospace.
Tim Wright, Head of Space at Whitecap, will underwrite this class and work alongside David Godley, Head of Aviation and Mike Hart, Head of Aviation Hull War at Whitecap Aerospace.
Wright has over 36 years of experience in the space insurance market, both as a broker and underwriter.
His remit in the new role includes leveraging his respected market status, knowledge, and longstanding business relationships to establish a successful new class of insurance for Whitecap.
Godley commented, “With Tim’s experience and successful track record, we are confident in achieving our goal to provide consistent and profitable results to our new space insurance capacity provider.
“Commercial space business is developing rapidly along with its needs for traditional and innovative insurance products, and we intend to contribute positively to this growth.”
