QBE, an international insurer and reinsurer, has announced two leadership appointments within its Singapore Marine business.
Both Kelly and Alex will report to the Head of Marine, Asia, ensuring alignment with the firm’s regional strategy and strengthening its ability to deliver high-quality risk solutions to clients and partners.
Kelly brings more than two decades of experience in marine insurance, with expertise spanning underwriting, portfolio management, and building strong partnerships across the region.
Previously, she served as an underwriter at Canopius and at QBE Marine and Energy Syndicate 1036.
Alex has spent the past 13 years at QBE, where he has developed strong relationships across Asia and delivered underwriting solutions across a wide range of marine products. Most recently, he served as Senior Underwriter – Marine Hull and Liability, where he was the lead underwriter for accounts in Asia and the Middle East.
Prior to joining QBE, Alex served as Manager of the Marine Specialty Broking Team at Aon and as an Insurance Broker at Nacora International Insurance Brokers.
This announcement follows the recent appointment of Sebastian Tjornelund as Asia Head, Underwriting, Marine, effective 1st December 2025.
