Swiss Re, a global provider of reinsurance, insurance, and risk solutions, has announced a series of leadership changes within its Life & Health (L&H) Europe business.

From 1 January 2026, Markus Unterkofler will lead the Munich hub, covering Germany, Austria, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), and the Nordics.
Unterkofler takes over Austria, CEE, and the Nordics from Michael Haas, who will be leaving Swiss Re at the end of the year.
Marco Bozzolo has been named Head of Transactions Origination and Head of Italy, Türkiye, Iberia, Greece, Malta, and Cyprus. Bozzolo succeeds Daniela D’Andrea, who is moving on to new opportunities outside the company.
Christophe Heck will serve as Head of France, Switzerland, and BeNeLux, taking over from Klemens Binswanger, who has been appointed Head of Underwriting & Claims for the region.
Binswanger’s leadership in his previous role helped strengthen Swiss Re’s market presence and advance important initiatives.
Hillel Damelin will continue in his role as Head of Israel, maintaining his focus on the market.
