AXIS, a provider of specialty insurance and reinsurance solutions, has announced the appointment of Douglas Yates to its Accident & Health (A&H) team as US Healthcare Reinsurance Underwriting Lead.
Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President, Lead Actuary, A&H US at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.
Earlier in his career, Yates held various positions at Munich Re, most recently serving as Head of Program Unit – MHNA-RD.
In a recent LinkedIn post, AXIS stated, “His deep expertise in employer stop-loss and quota share arrangements, along with his ability to create innovative healthcare solutions will be instrumental as we continue to grow and innovate in this space.”
