Willis Re, a specialised reinsurance broker, has welcomed three new hires, Freddie Vaughan, Graham Devlin, and Nicola McIntosh, who are joining the company from Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance arm of Marsh McLennan.

With a client-centric mindset, energy, and significant technical strength, the executive has developed deep insight into the London Reinsurance and Retrocession markets, having worked with clients across London, Europe, the US, and Bermuda.
This experience provides him with a focused understanding of the evolution of specialty programs and how clients can effectively manage volatility within their portfolios.

Devlin brings 45 years of industry experience to Willis Re, beginning his career in marine reinsurance in 1980 with Zurich Re in London. Previously, he served in various roles at Lloyd’s on T M Jones Syndicate 1097, Kemper Re, and Alliance Re.
Most recently, he worked at Guy Carpenter, where during his tenure, he built a successful team and helped attract a diverse client base across specialty lines.
Commenting on his appointment, Clarke said, “Graham is widely respected for his technical strength and unwavering client focus. His experience across underwriting and broking, together with his global perspective, will further strengthen our specialty franchise. We are delighted he is joining us.”
McIntosh began her insurance career in 2007 at Guy Carpenter, starting in claims and building a strong technical foundation through close collaboration with adjusters and surveyors.
In 2012, she transitioned to a Wordings and Client Support position, which allowed her to gain expertise in coverage analysis and contract documentation.
Since then, the executive gained experience in international broking, specifically in LMX, and in global client servicing, managing major accounts across multiple regions.
She brings proven strengths in client stewardship leading RFP and project initiatives and supporting complex placements across diverse markets.
“Nicola combines technical precision with genuine leadership and a collaborative mindset. She strengthens our ability to deliver for clients while also shaping the next generation of talent across Willis Re,” said Clarke.
