Zurich North America, the commercial property and casualty insurer, has announced the appointment of Tom Morelli to the newly created role of U.S. Head of Energy, where he will lead a new strategic business unit within Specialties.
He brings over 25 years of industry experience, joining Zurich from Everest National Insurance Company, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President. In that role, he created and implemented an energy industry practice group.
Prior to that, Morelli served as Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer at Global Special Risks.
He has also held senior leadership roles at AIG, most recently as President of Global Energy Casualty.
