MSIG USA, a provider of specialty commercial insurance, has appointed Ryan Kratz as Head of Cyber, North America, reporting to Siobhan O’Brien, the firm’s Global Head of Cyber.

In his new role, Kratz will be based in New York and will lead the carrier’s cyber practice, drive strategic expansion across underwriting, product innovation, and risk management solutions tailored to the evolving cyber landscape.
He has extensive experience in cyber insurance, with a proven track record of developing market-leading solutions and leading high-performing teams across the North American market.
Most recently, Kratz served as US Practice Lead, Cyber and Technology at Ryan Financial Lines. In the past, he practised insurance coverage law at Kissel Stratton & Wilmer LLP, where he represented US and international insurers in cyber liability, professional liability, and employment practices liability matters.
