Core Specialty names Evan Cabat as SVP, CFO

Insurer Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiaries have appointed Evan Cabat as Senior Vice President (SVP), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately.

Cabat brings nearly two decades of financial leadership to his role. Most recently, he was the Chief Accounting Officer at Bermuda-domiciled insurer and reinsurer, SiriusPoint Ltd. Prior to this, he held the position of Group Controller at the firm.

In the two roles at SiriusPoint, his leadership drove the centralisation of key corporate processes and enhanced internal controls.

Before this, Cabat spent 15 years at Ernst & Young LLP i several roles before rising to the role of Senior Manager and overseeing global audits and advisory engagements in the property & casualty re/insurance sector.
