Fathom, a specialist in flood risk modelling, has announced a partnership with Climate X, a provider of climate resilience analytics.

Flooding continues to cause significant disruption to economies and infrastructure globally, contributing to rising financial losses in multiple sectors.
Between 2018 and 2023, worldwide flood-related damages exceeded $100 billion annually in four of those five years. This trend highlights the growing need for data-driven analysis to support planning, risk management, and continuity strategies.
Climate X’s technology currently covers 12 categories of physical climate hazards, including extreme heat, tropical cyclones, landslides, and wildfires. The company converts scientific hazard data into financial and operational insights that can be applied at both asset and organisational levels.
This approach supports institutions in identifying exposure, meeting regulatory requirements, and developing evidence-based adaptation plans.
The integration of Fathom’s Global Flood Model will add millions of simulated flood events to Climate X’s datasets, improving the accuracy of loss estimates across portfolios and individual locations. Together, the combined data and modelling capabilities will allow users to evaluate potential financial impacts under a range of future climate scenarios.
The enhanced flood risk features within the Spectra and Adapt platforms are expected to be available to new and existing clients in early 2026.
“This partnership marks an important step forward for Climate X clients, adding world-class flood intelligence from Fathom to our already advanced models,” said Kamil Kluza, COO & Co-founder of Climate X. “Integrating Fathom’s models into our product suite reinforces Climate X’s position as the global leader in climate resilience.”
“Fathom is thrilled about this collaboration, which showcases the value of cross-industry partnerships in advancing climate risk understanding,” added Karena Vaughan, Chief Sales Officer and Head of ESG & Climate Risk at Fathom.
“By combining Fathom’s independently validated flood data with Climate X’s cutting-edge climate risk analytics, we’re equipping the industry to access more precise, science-based insights that will help asset owners adapt and invest with confidence.”
