Global reinsurer Swiss Re has appointed Hernan Fatone as Head of Southern Europe Property and Casualty (P&C) Reinsurance.
Fatone will also assume the role of Country President and Branch Manager of Swiss Re Europe SA (SRE) for Spain, pending approval.
Fatone has over three decades of experience, having served at Swiss Re throughout his career.
The firm said that this experience and leadership will be key to driving continued success in the region.
Most recently, Fatone was the Director and Key Account Manager of Global Life & Health at Swiss Re. He started his career as a Senior Underwriting Consultant at the company in 1995.
Meanwhile, Arechaga has over 25 years of industry experience. Most recently, he spent over seven years as Head P&C Southern Europe and as the Chief Executive Officer of Iberia at Swiss Re.
Previously, he has served as the Technical Director, Chief Risk Officer, and as the Manager of Actuarial Control of Aegon Seguros in Spain.
