Gallagher adds Andy Winwood as a Senior Executive

Insurance and reinsurance broking group Gallagher has appointed Andy Winwood as a Senior Executive, where he will support Nadim Semaan, Senior Executive Officer, in running the firm’s Middle East & Africa business focusing on large clients, market engagement, business development, and regional expansion.

Winwood had 35 years of insurance industry experience. He spent the last 14 years with the Saudi Arabian Oil Company, Aramco as a Senior Insurance and Risk Consultant, advising its global business affiliates and joint venture companies. Aramco is headquartered in Dhahran, and is the world’s largest integrated energy and chemicals company.

Before this, he held several senior broking roles in the UK and Middle East, having commenced his career in 1990 at a Lloyd’s of London market firm, Fenchurch Insurance Brokers. Fenchurch later became part of Gallagher through its acquisition of Heath Lambert in 2011.

Gallagher was first established in the Middle East in 2022 and has grown significantly since.

The regional team provides specialty and facultative insurance, advice, and risk management services to clients across industry sectors including aerospace, construction, energy, power & renewables, financial services, and marine.
