
Sompo has announced three key appointments in its Asia Pacific (APAC) Finance team, with See Ju Chua, Pei Shan Tay, and Mindy Lee assuming new roles within the company.

See Ju will collaborate with Global Finance, Risk, and Reinsurance functions to ensure alignment in capital management and treasury initiatives and projects. She will be based in Singapore and report to Takashi Kurumisawa, Chief Financial Officer, APAC.
See Ju joined Sompo in 2016 and has held various leadership roles across Actuarial and Finance, including SVP, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, and Senior Finance Manager, where she led the global IFRS 17 implementation, partnering with actuarial, finance, IT, and operations teams across multiple locations.
Prior to Sompo, she held roles at WTW, PwC UK, and Lloyds Banking Group.
Pei Shan has been named Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Singapore, effective September 1st, 2025. She will enhance and simplify financial analysis and business planning processes to support the region’s growth strategy.
Pei Shan will report to Julian Wong, Chief Financial Officer, Singapore and Ren Hattori, Head of FP&A, APAC. She will work closely with regional and local Accounts & Finance teams, with a primary focus on the Singapore market.
Pei Shan joined Sompo in September 2024 as Senior Commercial Finance Manager, APAC, where she worked closely with the regional Commercial team, enhancing the process and accuracy of financial reporting.
She brings over 15 years of financial accounting experience in consulting and insurance, holding roles at Swiss Re, Pacific Life Re, Aviva, and Deloitte.
Mindy will join the Singapore team as Financial Controller, overseeing internal group financial reporting and local statutory reporting for Singapore, ensuring operational efficiency in financial processes and resourcing, and contributing to financial transformation projects.
Mindy will report to Julian Wong and Jackie Liang, Regional Financial Controller, APAC. She will work closely with regional and local Accounts & Finance teams.
She joined Sompo in 2021, most recently serving as regional technical accounting lead, where she led the successful implementation of IFRS 17 in the region and was the key point of contact for accounting-related matters.
Prior to joining the company, Mindy held senior roles at Tokio Marine, PwC, and KPMG Singapore.
