SanlamAllianz Reinsurance, the reinsurance arm of SanlamAllianz, has announced the appointment of Shawn Kriedemann as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), effective 1st January 2026.
He joined SanlamAllianz Re in June 2023 as Treaty Manager. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles, including Chief Underwriter in Angola and Mozambique, gaining deep expertise in Property & Casualty and specialised lines.
In a recent LinkedIn post, the company said, “With his collaborative leadership style and deep regard for integrity, Shawn will play a pivotal role in harmonising our group-wide reinsurance approach and simplifying our internal program structures.
“This appointment reflects SanlamAllianz Re’s commitment to a clear strategy, strong leadership and disciplined execution.”
