Amiga Specialty, a specialist managing general agent (MGA) backed by B.P. Marsh, has bolstered its transactional risks division, expanding its offering in Europe by hiring a team which includes Sam Batchelor serving as Head of Transactional Risks Europe, Meea Keziah Cabansag as an Underwriter, and George Brain on the board as an Assistant Underwriter.

These appointments represent the latest growth move for Amiga, which recently announced it secured multi-million capacity via the Accelerant Risk Exchange and will be announcing further substantial capacity partnerships shortly.
These hires align with the firm’s positions to build itself as a leading market in the transactional space in the UK and Europe. The MGA is backed by A-rated capacity and with the capability to write warranty & indemnity across the UK and all EU countries.
Adam Kembrooke, Managing Director and Founder, Amiga, commented, “We’re delighted to have such exceptional individuals join our transactional risks team at an exciting time for Amiga Specialty. The team is tasked with building out transactional risks in the UK and Europe and will be a fantastic addition to our overall strategy, ensuring robust underwriting quality and exceptional service for the market.
“We see huge value in supporting the transactional risks space. With this trio’s experience, we have the capability to build a substantial Transactional Risk business under the leadership of Richard Mills. I am looking forward to seeing what this talented team can accomplish in the future.”
