Gallagher Re, the reinsurance arm of the global broking group, has announced the appointment of Erika Schoch Strategic Consultant of Marine for Gallagher Re Latin America and Caribbean (LAC).
“Her deep technical knowledge, strong client relationships, and dedication to excellence will be instrumental in building client value,” Gallagher Re stated.
Schoch is joining Gallagher Re following a 34-year tenure at Swiss Re, where she most recently served as Expert UW & Head Agriculture LatAm.
Prior to that, she was a Regional Head Transportation & Agriculture LatAm, and a Regional Manager Latin America – SVP before that.
She was also part of the Asociación Latinoamericana de Suscriptores Marítimos – ALSUM, a non-profit foundation working to raise marine insurance underwriting standards in Latin America through knowledge, discussion, and education.
At ALSUM she served as President and later as Vice President of the Board of Directors. Additionally, she was part of the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) as Fact & Figures Committee Member.
