ICEYE, a global leader in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite operations, has launched five new SAR satellites to close critical information gaps, giving insurers the situational awareness to protect communities, target resources, and speed recovery.

They successfully lifted off on November 28, 2025, aboard the Transporter-15 rideshare mission with SpaceX from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, USA.
With these five additions, ICEYE has now launched a total of 62 satellites for itself and its customers since 2018, including 22 so far in 2025.
Stephen Lathrope, SVP, ICEYE, commented, “Expanding our constellation and elevating our imaging unlocks a new level of catastrophe intelligence, delivering faster, higher-resolution insight that empowers insurers to respond with precision when every moment counts.
“By capturing detailed imagery over vast areas within hours, ICEYE is helping close the information gaps that slow decision-making, giving insurers the situational awareness they need to protect communities, target resources, and accelerate recovery.”
ICEYE explained that the new satellites will serve both its commercial constellation and dedicated national missions, including the Greek National Space Program, the Polish Armed Forces’ MikroSAR program, as well as BAE Systems’ Azalea constellation.
“With this deployment, ICEYE continues to increase sovereign capabilities, imaging capacity and resilience for governments who require rapid, reliable, and high-fidelity situational awareness, day or night and through any weather,” the firm concluded.
