Superian Insurance Group, a London headquartered independent insurance intermediary, has announced the launch of its Asia & Middle East focused specialty reinsurance managing general agent (MGA), Podium Underwriting.

This venture has been designed to address the growing demand in regional markets for specialised insurance capacity backed by Lloyd’s and the London market.
The new MGA will be led by Jeremy Austen, an industry veteran with over 40 years of experience. As Co-Founder and Chief Underwriting Officer, Austen will build out the proposition to cater for new and existing clients.
Noah Jamal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Superian, stated: “The launch of Podium represents an important milestone in Superian’s international growth strategy. As we expand into Asia, MENA, and Australasia, Podium provides us with a gateway to deliver specialist reinsurance expertise and strengthen our footprint across these high-growth markets.
“We’re excited to be working with Jeremy, who brings significant experience and relationships in the Asian and Middle East markets.”
Austen commented: “It’s a hugely exciting time for the launch with significant opportunity and capacity available in the Lloyd’s and London Market. And to do this with a firm dynamic as Superian makes the venture more thrilling.”
Podium joins Superian’s growing portfolio of specialist entities, which includes Servca, Servca Europe, Medicas, Synergio, Scious Underwriting, Stratify and London Market Processing.
