As part of its ongoing growth strategy in Asia, Hannover Re has appointed Yan Sun as Head of Life & Health, Greater China.
The firm commented, “With a strong actuarial background and deep industry experience across reinsurance and consulting, Yan brings both technical expertise and a sharp client focus to the role.
“Her leadership will be instrumental in shaping our strategy and strengthening partnerships in the region.”
Sun is a fully qualified actuary with more than 17 years of experience spanning life insurance, retirement, and investment sectors.
Most recently, she was at Resolution Life, where she structured risk transfer and capital-driven reinsurance solutions for clients and partners across Asia.
Before that, Sun held senior leadership roles at AXA France, serving as Head of APAC (excluding India) for Life & Health Reinsurance and as CEO of AXA Life Re Australia.
Earlier in her career, she gained extensive consulting and valuation experience with firms including Aon, Deloitte, Watson Wyatt, and AMP.
