Skyward Specialty Insurance Group, a property and casualty (P&C) specialist insurer, has announced that Christopher Peirce will join its Board of Directors, effective 1st February 2026.

Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Liberty Mutual. In this role, he led the Corporate Finance team, which encompassed all of the company’s corporate accounting and reporting, planning and capital management, corporate taxation, treasury, enterprise risk management, and mergers and acquisitions groups worldwide.
During his tenure, he also served as President of the Global Specialty and Commercial Markets division.
Additionally, it is expected that Peirce will be appointed Chair of the Audit Committee following the close of the 2025 financial year, succeeding Robert Creager, who has served in the role since 2013. Creager has advised that he will not stand for re-election to the Board at the end of his term in May.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chris to our Board of Directors. Chris’ career accomplishments, extensive experience both in the U.S. and internationally, and his financial leadership make him a perfect addition to our Board, particularly as we look forward to the close of the Apollo acquisition in the first quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approval,” said Andrew Robinson, Skyward Specialty Chairman and CEO. “I speak for our entire Skyward Specialty Board in welcoming Chris.”
