Legal & General’s (L&G) Retail business, a UK provider of retirement and protection solutions, has announced the appointment of Donna Cowell to the newly created role of Head of Reinsurance, UK Protection.
Cowell will play a vital role in developing L&G’s protection strategy, collaborating with reinsurers to enhance value for customers by leveraging the business’s expertise in risk management, distribution quality, robust data, and market experience.
She brings nearly 25 years of experience in financial services, joining L&G from WTW, where she served as Director in its Life Insurance Consulting and Technology division, specialising in protection and reinsurance.
Prior to that, Cowell spent nine years at Swiss Re, most recently serving as Head of Pricing, iptiQ EMEA. She also spent almost nine years at Aviva, serving in actuarial roles and as Market Insight and Planning Manager.
