Gallagher Re hires RenRe’s Lowry as Exec Dir, Global Credit, Surety & Political Risk Product

Global reinsurance brokerage Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Alexander Lowry as Executive Director, Global Credit, Surety and Political Risk Product.

“Alex brings extensive experience in underwriting Credit, Surety and Political Risk Treaty reinsurance, as well as Structured Credit insurance. His expertise will further strengthen our global capabilities and support clients across this important specialty line,” a Gallagher Re spokesperson stated.

Lowry is joining Gallagher Re from RenaissanceRe (RenRe), where he served for over 6 years, most recently as AVP, Underwriting – Credit.

He initially joined the company as a Risk Analyst in 2019, and in 2021 he was appointed Senior Analyst. Prior to that, he served as a Junior Support Analyst at Tokio Millenium Re AG.

Lowry is one of Gallagher Re’s most recent hires. The firm has also recently announced the appointment of Jennifer Jones as Executive Director for Marine and Energy.

Jones joined Gallagher Re after seven years at Lockton Re, where she most recently served as Senior Broker.
