The Reinsurance Association of America (RAA), a national trade association representing property and casualty reinsurers operating in the United States, has appointed Tracey Laws as its President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective December 1st, 2025.

Since 2023, Laws has led the Government and Regulatory Affairs team at GEICO. Before this, she was Senior Vice President and Head of Government Affairs at Athene.
She has served in the roles of Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Chubb and was also the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the RAA from 2005 to 2017.
Jon Colello, Chair of the RAA’s Board of Directors, commented on the developments, “We are thrilled to welcome Tracey back to the RAA family and look forward to Tracey taking up the mantle of leadership that Frank has shouldered successfully for so many years.
“Guided by Frank’s leadership, integrity and vision, the RAA team has tackled many critical and complex industry issues at the state, federal and international levels. On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff, I would like to thank Frank for his long-standing commitment to the RAA.”
He continued, “The Board and I look forward to working with Tracey as she continues to advance the RAA’s strategic priorities and advocate on behalf of our members. Tracey’s deep expertise, knowledge, and extensive career in insurance industry advocacy and regulation will be critical as she leads the RAA into its next phase as the preeminent industry leader on reinsurance issues.”
