Alex Kirkby joins Willis Re’s Marine & Energy business

Willis Re, a specialised reinsurance broker, has announced the appointment of Alex Kirkby to its Marine & Energy business in London.

Kirkby brings more than a decade of experience across both underwriting and broking. He joins Willis Re from Ascot Group, where he led the launch of its Marine & Energy reinsurance business in Bermuda.

Prior to that, he served as Vice President at Validus Re and spent four years at PartnerRe, most recently as Senior Underwriter for Specialty Property, Engineering, Marine & Energy.

Kirkby rejoins Willis Re after previously working at the firm from 2011 to 2017, holding roles including Reinsurance Broker Marine & Energy and Division Director Specialty.
