Markel Insurance, the insurance division of Markel Group Inc., has appointed Luna Bonifacio as Senior Claims Adjuster, its first claims role based in Dubai, effective immediately.

This appointment aligns with Markel’s long-term commitment to regional expansion and empowering teams across Asia Pacific (APAC) and MENA.
Bonifacio will report to Bo Yu, Head of Claims for Asia, she will be the primary on-the-ground contact for insureds and brokers, supporting underwriters and enhancing client service delivery.
She brings extensive experience in Casualty claims to the role, having previously held senior roles at Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), where she was instrumental in building the regional portfolio.
Before this, Bonifacio held positions at Sedgwick, Zurich and RSA, where she developed a reputation for technical excellence and client advocacy.

Earlier this morning, Markel Insurance reported an underwriting gross premium volume increase of 11% for the third quarter of 2025 to $2.72 billion from $2.5 billion last year, in the group’s overall results.
