Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer, Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd. has appointed Dymphna Lehane as Chair of Hamilton Managing Agency Limited (HMA) in the United Kingdom and Independent Non-Executive Director of Hamilton Insurance Designated Activity Company (HIDAC) in Ireland, while Karen Forte is now Chair of HIDAC and maintains her role as Chair of the Audit Committee at HMA.
The appointments follow the retirement of Peter Haynes, the long-standing Chair of HMA and HIDAC, effective December 31st, 2025. Haynes has served as Chair of HMA since 2015 and HIDAC since 2020.
Lehane has 35 years of digital strategy and governance experience in the global insurance industry. Most recently, she served as Global Managing Partner for Insurance at Accenture, leading strategic initiatives and technology-driven transformations for major insurance organisations globally.
Additionally, Lehane has extensive board governance experience, having previously served as a board member at Aviva, Argo International, Westfield Specialty, and the Cabinet Office of the United Kingdom Government.
Currently, Forte serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Boards of HMA and HIDAC. She has extensive board-level experience and a strong commitment to transparency and governance. She is the former Chief Information Officer and Transformation Lead at Allianz Ireland.
