Insurance broker Howden US has appointed Ron Borys as Head of its Financial Lines Group, based in New York.

Borys will build the practice and create tailored solutions for clients across Financial Institutions, Executive Liability, and Cyber. He will join Howden subject to the fulfilment of relevant contractual obligations.
In his new role, Borys will form part of the Howden US leadership team under Mike Parrish, Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, he will work closely with Adam Codrington, Global Practice Lead, Financial Lines, as part of Howden’s global specialty practices.
Most recently, Borys was at Allian, leading the Financial Institutions Industry practice, advising clients on program design, brokerage and risk consultative services.
In the past, he has worked for other brokerages in the US, including Marsh and Aon, and has extensive experience working with large, complex financial institutions and multinational clients.
