Optio Group, a specialty MGA, has announced the appointment of Harald Teige as Head of Coastal Marine at S Insurance AS (S Insurance), an Optio company.
Teige has more than 30 years of experience in the marine insurance sector. He joins S Insurance from Fender Insurance AS, where he held the position of Director and Chief Underwriting Officer since 2020.
Prior to this, Teige worked at WR Berkley Norway from 2009 to 2020 as Chief Underwriting Officer, overseeing portfolios in Marine Hull, Coastal & Fishery, and Yacht insurance.
His earlier career includes serving as Director and Head of Marine at Nemi Forsikring and Director of Marine Insurance at Gjensidige Forsikring.
His appointment supports Optio Group’s continued focus on strengthening its marine insurance operations in the Nordic region.
