Canopius Group, a global specialty and Property & Casualty re/insurer, has announced the appointment of Rachel Webber to the newly created role of Head of Reinsurance, UK.
She will also lead client engagement efforts to ensure partners have a clear understanding of Canopius’ reinsurance offerings, positioning the company as a comprehensive and practical solution that remains top of mind.
Webber will report to Aloïs Rouffiac, UK Chief Underwriting Officer and Active Underwriter at Canopius.
She brings more than 20 years of industry experience, with expertise across both technical and underwriting functions.
Webber joins Canopius from TransRe, where she spent the past 18 years in various senior leadership roles, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Head of Non-Marine.
Earlier in her career, she held actuarial analyst roles at Abacus Underwriting and QBE Europe.

Canopius’ commitment to investing in reinsurance is also reflected in the recent expansion of its Casualty Treaty business and its entry into the Aviation Treaty market in London.
