Global insurer Zurich has announced the appointment of Terry Powell as Group Chief Technology Officer and Cristina Ghetti as Group Head of Digital Employee Experience, both effective October 20, 2025.

He is joining Zurich from ANZ Bank, where he led IT services transformation and cloud adoption. Prior to that, he centralised global IT and launched AI and digital initiatives for Domino’s Pizza, aiming to enhance customer experience.
The executive also previously served as General Manager for Insurance Technology at Suncorp Group, where he simplified core insurance systems.
In her new role at Zurich, Ghetti will spearhead company-wide AI upskilling initiatives to strengthen AI capabilities. Her role will involve empowering and equipping employees with AI, driving AI-adoption and productivity across the organisation.
She brings extensive expertise from her tenure at Nestlé, where she led the sector’s largest AI-tool rollout and integrated GPT-based tools for internal use. Her earlier achievements at Coca-Cola European Partners include delivering a multi-year digital roadmap and leading post-merger IT integration.
Powell and Ghetti will be based in Zurich and report to Ericson Chan, Group Chief Information & Digital Officer, who commented: “I am thrilled to welcome Terry and Cristina to Zurich.
“Their extensive leadership in artificial intelligence in the retail and fintech space is precisely the expertise we need to accelerate our digital transformation and further drive AI-adoption. They bring a vital customer-centric approach that will significantly elevate the experience for both our customers and employees.”
