MS Amlin, the Lloyd’s global insurer and reinsurer, has strengthened its Asia Pacific (APAC) team with the appointments of three new reinsurance underwriters.

Toh brings extensive experience in reinsurance underwriting, including insurance-linked securities (ILS) and binders. He joins MS Amlin after nearly a decade at Nephila Capital in Bermuda, where he most recently served as Head of Insurance & Senior Underwriter (Treaty).
Yosuke Yasuda has been appointed Senior Underwriter, effective 13th October 2025. He will also report to William Ho.
Yasuda brings two decades of industry experience, joining from Aon, where he served as Head of Casualty for Asia and China, leading growth initiatives and advising cedants across the region. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at Swiss Re, most recently as Senior Casualty Treaty Underwriter.
Amirul (PJ) Ashraf joins MS Amlin as an Underwriter, effective 5th January 2026. In this role, he will report to Ee Voon Teh, Underwriter.
Ashraf joins after eight years at Malaysian Re, most recently serving as AVP, Underwriter, Treaty, primarily responsible for the technical underwriting and client management functions for the International Treaty/Retrocession portfolio, leading the Oceania, Europe, and Latin America regions.
These appointments underscore MS Amlin’s commitment to growth in APAC and build on the momentum from the Australian branch opening earlier this year, which included the appointment of Matt Botfield as Head of Australia and New Zealand.
