Global reinsurer Munich Re has appointed Sabine Starbatty as Client Management Executive (CME) for Non-Life Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and she will continue to have dual responsibility as Head of Treaty Underwriting Property & Casualty (P&C) MENA & Cyber.
She has been leading the Non-Life Client Management team for the region on an interim basis since September.
Previously, Starbatty served as Chief Underwriting Officer of P&C Treaty MENA and Cyber, and also spent nearly three years as Head of Insurance related solutions Property UK & Nordics at Munich Re.
Starbatty is a Munich Re veteran having started at the company as a Graduate Trainee in 2001. She later became an Underwriter and Senior Underwriter in Property Treaty for seven years, responsible for global clients.
Starbatty commented, “I am looking forward to meeting with our clients in MENA soon. This will be an excellent opportunity to better understand their evolving needs and strengthen our partnerships.”
