Allianz UK has announced the appointment of Glyn Hughes as Managing Director of Allianz Personal Broker, effective February 2026.
He will be joining the company from Ageas, where he is currently Director of Personal Lines Underwriting and Pricing. During this role he oversaw the profitable growth of the personal lines portfolio, leading a team of underwriting and pricing professionals.
Hughes’ career at Ageas, which started in 2013, saw him progress through various leadership roles, including Head of Motor Pricing and Underwriting Support and Director of Motor Underwriting.
During this period, he led initiatives across motor, home, travel, and special risks portfolios, engaging closely with broker partners and distribution teams.
Prior to Ageas, the executive worked at Groupama in 2005 in the Personal Lines Pricing team, culminating in his appointment as the Head of Personal Lines Pricing & Planning.
Graham Wright will continue to lead the Personal Broker team on an interim basis, ensuring a smooth transition.
