AXA XL, the property, casualty and specialty risk division of AXA, has announced the appointment of Sophie Farhane as Global Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), Cyber, Direct and Indirect.
Farhane brings over a decade of industry experience. She joined AXA XL in 2023 as Expert Underwriter Long Tail Cyber and Financial Lines.
Before that, Farhane spent four years at HDI Global SE, most recently as Head of Cyber Local Risk and Financial Lines, where she managed the Cyber Local team and portfolio, developed and deployed global Cyber Local strategy, and expanded the Cyber Local footprint.
Earlier in her career, Farhane held roles at Hiscox Assurances France and AIG.
