Consilium, a speciality re/insurance wholesale broker, has announced plans to establish a new office in Kingston, Jamaica, subject to regulatory approval, with Max Pragnell serving as Managing Partner for the office.

With offices in both Cayman and Jamaica, Consilium strengthens its presence in the Caribbean region.
The Kingston office will focus on commercial wholesale speciality insurance and reinsurance, covering areas such as Property, Liability, Cyber, Financial Lines, Marine, and Alternative Risk Transfer. The office aims to provide clients with local knowledge alongside access to international markets.
Pragnell brings extensive experience in the field, including roles at IIBRe in Kingston, Gallagher and RPS in the US, and Alesco in the UK. At IIBRe, he led the Caribbean’s Cyber Practice and has a background in wholesale and reinsurance for property and casualty lines.
Pragnell added: “The Caribbean market is built on strong foundations of local insurers and brokers. Consilium will enhance that by bringing a wider range of speciality products, tailored solutions for large corporates, and direct access to global expertise. Our clients benefit from the best of both worlds, local insight combined with international reach, all delivered with speed, service, and trust.”
This is Consilium’s second new international hub in just six weeks, following the launch of its Singapore office. These developments highlight the company’s focus on expanding its global presence and enhancing wholesale broking through specialist knowledge, client service, and technology-driven solutions.
