Compre Group, the Bermuda-domiciled international specialty reinsurance group, has appointed Dominic Clayden to the newly created role of interim global claims director.

In his new role, Clayden will reportedly be responsible for the continued development of Compre’s global claims function, with all claims teams in the US and Europe reporting to him.
“Under Clayden’s leadership, the global claims function will ensure consistency and best practice across all regions. His expertise and global perspective will help deepen our technical excellence, and he will further introduce innovative measures to continually improve service standards,” Compre said.
Simon Hawkins, group COO, and to whom Clayden will report, commented, “Globalising our claims proposition is an exciting developmental step that builds on Compre’s successful growth in recent years.
“Our reputation rests on fair, consistent and transparent claims handling, and I am delighted Dominic could join us to complete this important transition, which began in 2023.
“It very much underpins our ambitions for further growth and to be the partner of choice for innovative capital and liability solutions.
“As part of this evolution, Bill Bouvier, claims director, North America, will be stepping down on 31st October 2025. Bill has been instrumental in building our US claims proposition in recent years, for which we are very grateful and wish him every success in the future.”
