European property and casualty (P&C) insurance run-off group Marco Capital has acquired Benteler Reinsurance Company DAC in an undisclosed transaction.
Simon Minshall, Chief Executive Officer, Marco Capital, commented, “The acquisition of Benteler Re provides a useful solution to the Benteler Group in rationalising its group insurance arrangements.
“Marco welcomes the opportunity to acquire entities that are no longer seen as core for the business, and this transaction serves as a good example of the value added we offer our clients.”
In June 2025, Marco Capital acquired R&Q Gamma Company Limited, formerly The Royal London General Insurance Company Ltd, which was established in 1983 and put into run-off in 1999.
