Canopius Group, a specialty and P&C re/insurer, has announced the appointment of Ray Wong as Energy Underwriter, effective 4 September 2025.
With more than 14 years of experience, Wong has built a strong track record in underwriting complex energy risks across international markets.
He most recently served at Lancashire Insurance Company (UK) Limited, where he managed offshore and onshore upstream energy portfolios, including both construction and operational exposures.
His expertise has been instrumental in strengthening broker partnerships, driving reliable underwriting outcomes, and supporting strategic growth within the energy sector.

His track record in underwriting complex energy risks, combined with his experience in renewable energy, will strengthen our capabilities and support our growth ambitions across APAC.
