Moody’s appoints Simon Harris to lead its global Insurance Initiative

Moody’s has announced the appointment of Simon Harris to lead its Insurance Initiative, aiming to strengthen the firm’s presence and impact in the global insurance sector.

In this role, Harris will partner with MA’s Insurance Solutions group and Moody’s Ratings to enhance Moody’s Corporation’s position as a go-to source for insurance intelligence—helping clients navigate risk with confidence and precision.

He will leverage Moody’s data by broadening the use of its modelling and analytics across the company and convening experts from across the firm to elevate its industry thought leadership and market engagement.

Harris will also be responsible for enhancing internal collaboration and developing innovative approaches to support the insurance industry in addressing today’s most pressing challenges.

He has spent the past 27 years at Moody’s in various senior roles, most recently serving as Global Managing Director, Financial Institutions, overseeing teams of credit professionals covering banks, re/insurers, and asset managers worldwide.
